Terms & Conditions
Below follows the Terms and Conditions of organising your Skydive with JumpMAD. They must be read and agreed to before completing your booking. A copy is downloadable with the rest of the information as part of the booking process.
- If you are undertaking a charity skydive/parachute jump in order to raise funds for charity and wish your costs to be recovered from sponsorship raised, you must agree to raise the minimum amount of sponsorship money as stated.
- The final decision on your suitability to skydive rests entirely with the club and instructors and you must comply with the club rules at all times.
- The required deposit must be paid when booking and is non-refundable. For the balance of your jump please refer to the instructions on your confirmation letter. Failure to comply with the instructions may result in you losing your deposit.
- If incorrect booking information is given, you run the risk of forfeiting your skydive along with all costs incurred.
- JumpMAD will keep all information gathered private and confidential as part of our Privacy Policy.
- Refunds will only be given in extenuating circumstances, and at our discretion.
- If, for bad weather, or any other reason beyond the parachute centre’s control, you are unable to jump on the agreed date, you should arrange an alternative date with JumpMAD.
- JumpMAD will re-organize your parachute jump if notified of non-ability to attend a minimum of 72 hours before your parachute jump at no further cost. This is in return for your booking deposit (valid for one year).
- Parachute Centres have limited places available and instructors and equipment may have to be pre-booked, therefore, if you fail to give sufficient notice of cancellation or fail to attend on the day of you jump you may be required to pay another deposit.
- We cannot accept any responsibility for centres changing or postponing operating days, however we will transfer your booking to another centre or arrange an alternative date at no charge in such a case.
- You are entirely responsible for collecting and donating sponsorship money honestly. We act harshly toward those not acting with integrity towards sponsorship money. It is common for the jumper to use part of the money collected to pay for part or all of the cost of the jump, but you MUST declare this intent to your sponsors. You are required to collect and transfer all pledged sponsor monies a maximum of 4 weeks after the day you jump.
- JumpMAD will contact your chosen charity to inform them of your intent with all relevant skydive information and contact details.
- Having paid the balance of the cost of your training and parachute jump, you will then be covered for up to £2,000,000 by virtue of the British Parachute Association Liability Insurance. This insurance does not cover you for personal injury or death and both JumpMAD and any charities represented recommend that, if you wish to take out additional insurance, that you make your own arrangements to acquire adequate cover.
- To make any parachute jump or skydive, you must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18 years of age parental/guardian written permission is required in addition to parental/guardian signature on the Declaration of Fitness to Parachute form or the Student Tandem Parachutist Declaration of Fitness form. Failure to produce this to the Parachute Centre will mean that you are unable to jump. If aged over 40 you must have the Declaration of Fitness to Parachute form or the Student Tandem Parachutist Declaration of Fitness form signed and stamped by a GP. This form is included in the information packs. Once again, failure to produce this form to the Parachute Centre means that you will be unable to jump. Please note that age and weight restrictions apply.
